Real Mallorca struggled to overcome the leagues bottom club at the weekend. Valladolid have been far and away the worst club in La Liga this season amassing just 16 points in their campaign so far. Now mathematically safe, Mallorca have looked like they´ve been on the beach for the past 3 matches. Valladolid went ahead with a goal from Chuki in just 11 minutes and it could have been a real horror show with Mallorca keeper Dominic Grief rescuing his team on a number of occasions. Mallorca battled back with a volley from Omar Mascarell in the 28th minute, his first ever goal for the islanders. A well worked goal from Sergi Darder just after half time proved to be the winner. The crowd of 16,018 for the penultimate home game of the season was disappointing and hopefully more will show their faces at the final game on Sunday May 18th at 19.30 against Getafe.
